BIO

Matisse Mazur was born in New York City in 1985 to Ruby Mazur, the creator of the famous 'Mouth and Tongue' logo for The Rolling Stones, and Edna Braun, a model. He moved to Vienna, Austria when he was five years old after his parent's divorce where he studied at the Vienna International School. At 18, Matisse moved to Los Angeles to further his career in acting. He attended the New York Film Academy in 2004 to study directing and filmmaking, and graduated in 2005. He continued honing his craft studying at Expressions Unlimited, The Acting Center, Playhouse West, The Groundlings, and most recently with acting coach Brad Heller.
Matisse has been a proud member SAG-AFTRA since the age of 21, ever since beating out a slew of 35 year olds for the role of Sgt. Dawkins in Dustin Rikert's Easy Rider Sequel 'Easy Rider: The Ride Back). It was a great start, and a great role, only due to the length of the movie, his whole scene ended up on the cutting room floor.
He is the brother of Monet Mazur (CW's All-American, Blow, Angel Eyes, 40 Days and 40 Nights), and cousin to Bret "Epic" Mazur, Ex-Frontman of the Alternative Rock band Crazytown.
